- What instruments do you use?
- Do you all get nervous before preforming?
- Who inspires you?
- What are your goals?
- Whats your favourite place youve preformed?
- Where do you hold band practice?
we've been together for just over a year
we all go to air cadets together and have been friends for years.
each year there is a band competition within the cadets and we decided to put something together.
the first song we did was 'mustang sally' we chose it as its a well known song. it took us a while to get it right as none of us really knew how to play instruments, we're sort of learnt as we went but now we rock!
now id say are favourite song is a cover of The Beatles 'get by with a little help from my friends' this is the song weave perfected the most and is the finally to are set list.
We put a lot of time and effort into the band, practising 5-6 times a week, sometimes more!! there's no doubt that at times this can be tedious but its fair to say we always have fun!
The band has altered through out the last year members coming and going, currently we have two singers, guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, keyboard
there's always some nerves before a performance, although its fair to say that some nerves help us to perform better.
its fair to say that everyone in the band has different inspirations, from muse to chuck berry. blues, rock, old, new there's a wide selection to be found on our ipods, we combine these different styles to produce new sounds and ideas.
are main goal over the year has been raising money for charity, over the last year we've raised over a thousand pound for Claire House.
we've played at many places in Merseyside, playing at weddings and charity events. We all agree that are best performance yet was at The Mosslands 'children in need' event were we played to well over 600 people.
we practice at our cadet squadron (belvedere centre) every thursday.
