Destiny’s upbeat disposition as a child earned her the nickname Smiley, which stuck when it was cut short to Miley. Miley’s career as a professional actress commenced in 2003, when she appeared in an episode of the television series Doc, which starred her father; the same year, she landed a small role in the Tim Burton film Big Fish. Miley acquired an interest in music early, composing songs and learning to sing while still  young, and in 2005 she landed a role that allowed her to put her skills in acting and music to work. Miley was cast in the title role of Hannah Montana, in which she played a teenaged girl leading a double life, by day, she’s Miley Stewart, an average kid grappling with school, her friends, her siblings, and all the other idiosyncrasies of life for a 14-year-old, while a night she wears a wig and turns into Hannah Montana, a multi-platinum pop star whose career is guided by her dad Robby Stewart, a thriving songwriter. However, Miley’s friends do not know she’s also Hannah, and maintaining this secret is not easy. With its launch in March 2006, Hannah Montana became an instant success with teenagers, and in October, a soundtrack was released, featuring Miley singing eight songs from the show along with five related tracks, including a duet between Miley and her father Billy Ray on “I Learned from You.”

As soon as I step on that stage, nothing matters. I don't think of it as work. It's just so much fun.

I don't want to be perfect, but I do want to be a role model. My mom always tells me that imperfections equal beauty. All of us are imperfect.

Miley, star in Disney Channel's new live action comedy Hanna Montana. She plays Miley Stewart, a 14 years old girl leading a double life as pop singer Hannah Montana.
Born November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee, Cyrus developed a love for the stage after watching her dad, country singer and actor Bill Ray Cyrus, perform. After appearing as an extra in her dad's television projects, Cyrus got her first chance to act opposite him in a recurring role on the television series "Doc." Since then, she guested - starred on "Love Boat; The Next Wave" and appeared in the Tim Burton film "Big Fish."
Since recently relocated to Los Angeles from Nashville with her parents, sister Brandi and Noah, brothers Trace and Braison and their dog Loco. Their seven horses, three dogs and two cats remain in Nashville under her grandmother's care - one of the most difficult adjustments for Cyrus who enjoys braiding the horse's tails. Now in her spare time in Los Angeles, she enjoys talking on the phone with friends back home. She also follows in her father's footsteps by writing music, playing guitar and singing. Her musical influences are pos singers Kelly Clarkson, Hillary Duff and Ashley Simpson. In addition, she enjoys dancing and cheerleading - ESPN continues to rebroadcast competitions which features her Tennessee Premiere Cheerleading squad.
Miley suffers from tachycardia, which is a heart condition that causes her resting heart rate to excel at a faster pace than a normal resting rate
Miley was born left-handed, just like her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. He believes that lefties have to learn everything backwards in life, so he trained Miley to write with her right hand from a very early age. To this day, she does use her right hand for that purpose, but she is a lefty with everything else. She has joked that if anyone dislikes her handwriting, they should talk to her dad about it
Changed her name jan 2008

Miley Cyrus was born in Franklin, Tennessee on the 23rd of November 1992.  But she didn’t come into this world as Miley, infact her name was Destiny Hope Cyrus as her Famous father Billy Ray Cyrus always knew it was her destiny to bring hope to the world which is why she got her name. But being the bubbly girl that she was and is, always happy and smiling she was nicknamed ‘Smiley’ by her family. This was then shortened to Miley which then lead onto her changing her name officially in 2008 to Miley Ray Cyrus taking the same middle name as her Father. Miley lived with her family, Father Billy Ray, Mother Tish and her older siblings, her sister Brandi and brother Trace, she also had two younger, her Sister and brother Noah and Braison.
With her brother being Trace Cyrus out of Metro station and her Father being a well known country and western singer it was no surprise that Miley loved the attention and fame and her dream was too follow there footsteps and become famous. From a young age Miley was always on stage with her dad and would run on after his show to make sure she was in the spotlight for a extra few minutes.

As Miley grew up she ventoured more and  more into music, playing the piano and writing songs was what she loved to do. At the age of 11 she started auditioning for the role of Lilly in Hannah Montanna. After months of getting turned down  for being too young miley never gave up and was exstatic when she was told they were impressed with the small southern girls big voice and big talent that’s she had been given the lead role as Hannah Montanna, soon after that her father Billy auditioned to play her on screen father and got the part.

Although Miley as always wanted to be famous and be acting, shes always loved music. Miley is left handed like her dad but Miley quotes in her book, 'My dad is also a lefty, but hes convinced that im right handed' Shes plays piano and writes alot of songs, songs that then went onto follow her in the show Hanna Montanna and Miley got too do the two things she loved best, singing and acting, what more could she wish for. “I have four shelves covered with journals that’s ive written. Dad and I are always writing songs together. I probably have written 100 songs!”

After 6 years doing the show Hannah Montanna had to come to an end. The show had produced Miley with three CD's from Hannah Montanna and then going onto making Meet Miley Cyrus, and then Breakout which went platinum, Miley was well on her way to being the star she dreamed. Miley then put her talent of acting and singing into a Hannah Montanna the movie she said “it is important to remember that I am a real person, have feelings and all that crazy stuff. I think this movie is really going to prove that to people. It all is real” After her first big movie it then led onto her being in the movie The Last Song, directed by Nicholas sparks who also made the award winning film, the Notebook.

Miley after finishing the 6 year show then turned 17 and became independent and wanted the world to see her as a mature new artist that grew from the little girl in Hannah Montanna shows. She started writing and produced her 8th CD, cant be tamed which also feautured other of her songs she had wrote. In the music video she seen as a bird like animal in a cage which people have put there opinions out of how they think she is too sexy for her age, Ryan seacrest twitterd 'wow. This is a sexy video' Theres no denying that but as Miley explained on sit down with E News, 'Thats not the premise behind Cant Be Tamed. The video isnt about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes. Its about explaining the song and living the lyrics, I don’t want to be in a cage, I want to be free and do what I love’

Miley turned eighteen in November and is now starring in a remake of a french film called LOL, where Demi Moore plays her on screen mother. It seems Miley is alsways going to be seen as a Disney Hannah Montanna star even at the age of eighteen, despite all the bad media and grief shes gets from growing up, Miley is determined to carry on with her dream of Singing and acting and inspiring people. Lets just hope people give her the chance to grow and show people the real Miley Cyrus.

Article Research.

These are the questions i will ask in my interview.
  1. How long have you been together?
  2. How did you all first meet and decide to get together?
  3. What was your first song?
  4. What is your favourite song?
  5. Who is the funniest in the band?
  6. What instruments do you use?
  7. Do you all get nervous before preforming?
  8. Who inspires you?
  9. What are your goals?
  10. Whats your favourite place youve preformed?
  11. Where do you hold band practice?

we've been together for just over a year
we all go to air cadets together and have been friends for years.
each year there is a band competition within the cadets and we decided to put something together.
the first song we did was 'mustang sally' we chose it as its a well known song. it took us a while to get it right as none of us really knew how to play instruments, we're sort of learnt as we went but now we rock!
now id say are favourite song is a cover of The Beatles 'get by with a little help from my friends' this is the song weave perfected the most and is the finally to are set list.
We put a lot of time and effort into the band, practising 5-6 times a week, sometimes more!! there's no doubt that at times this can be tedious but its fair to say we always have fun!
The band has altered through out the last year members coming and going, currently we have two singers, guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, keyboard
there's always some nerves before a performance, although its fair to say that some nerves help us to perform better.
its fair to say that everyone in the band has different inspirations, from muse to chuck berry. blues, rock, old, new there's a wide selection to be found on our ipods, we combine these different styles to produce new sounds and ideas.
are main goal over the year has been raising money for charity, over the last year we've raised over a thousand pound for Claire House.
we've played at many places in Merseyside, playing at weddings and charity events. We all agree that are best performance yet was at The Mosslands 'children in need' event were we played to well over 600 people.
we practice at our cadet squadron (belvedere centre) every thursday.

    Intial plans for my magazine.

The genre for my magazine is going to be mainstream indie and i am going to follow the layout of Q magazine. Although that is my genre my feature articles will include interviews with a wide range of artists and different styles of music. My price for my magzine will be £3.50 as the Q magazine is sold for £4 but i am trying to compete with it so therefore i will go 50p lower. I am going to make my issue size about 120-130 pages this is less than Q but once again your paying less. The regular content will include best songs of the month, whats new, question que, review and so on. The feature articles will be interviews on exclusive A list celebrity in the music industry, an article on some new music gagdgets etc.

    Wednesday 13 October 2010

    Researching the market place.

The prices of these music magazines are usually between £3-5. They usually come out every month as the music industry changes as often as that. The magazines tend to be quite a lot of pages compared to your normal mag as you get what you pay for. Regular content is usually along the lines of a new celeb each month and the top hit of the month and the feature articles could include exclusive interviews with top celebs in the music buisness or for example, 100 most shocking moments in music. These are all things i will focus on for the production of my own magazine.

Production of school magazine and contents page and Evaluation.

    This is my finished product.

    This is my finished product.

My preliminary magazine front cover and contents page follow the conventions of a real media product by me using the correct conventions such as, a title and a main image, images to attatch to the cover lines, regular and exclusive titles for different cover lines in my magazine. I also makesure that my magazine follows the right codes and conventions for my target audience and genre of  a school magazine. The technologies i used to construct my magazine front cover was photoshop. This is a good programme for things like magazines as it has alot of variety of tools too make your magazine look good. For the conentnts page i used a programme called Quarkxpress which isnt as good as photoshop as it limits the tools you can use on your product. The reason we used this programme was because it was industry standard and was a taster for our main product. In photoshop my strengths were exsperience as i remembered alot from previous use of it and understood it. My weaknesses is that sometimes it can get very complicated and can jumble up my texts and images. Quarkxpress was alright, my strengths were that i am good with programmes like these but however this programme was limited and got complicated when trying to import from other programmes to make my magazine better. My front cover strengths again are that i am experienced in Magazine product as i acheived an A from previous work. My weaknesses was that my colour i chose wasnt really thought about and i should of tried to connect the colours to the Magazine genre. My contents isnt as good as i could do as it is quite plain and boring, it could be made better with more pictures and more colour.

    My Contents For School Magazine.

In my contents page there will be numbers that are connected to each page and each article. The content will include storeys such as, how the headmaster met the mayor, updates on school progress, pupils work on display, ice radio interviews and so on. There will also be 10 feature articles which will appear in my magazine. These are 10 rules to stay out of trouble, photography courses, best students in the block, will enrichment be bent, exam mayhem, Don`t be a gorm in your uniform, Primarys come to visit, chance to win a trip to the cinema for you and a mate, drawing competition and last chance to bag a locker. There will also be images to match these articles including images with the students and there artwork on display, and other photos to go with the articles like a image of a locker, a uniform, an exam sheet, a camera, a cinema ticket, a drawing, a primary school child and a sixth former.

Here is a rough layout of my Contents page for my magazine.

    My School Magazine Design.

My title of my magazine is going to be called School Rule. It is priced at £1.50 and for the front cover image i am using a picture of the school name Weatherhead and a pupil in uniform standing by it, this will be a medium close up. This photo will represent the school and the target audience and what the whole purpose of the magazine is. There are 7 cover lines on my magazine and are all connoted with school such as, Exam mayhem, Photography courses, Best students on the block and so on. These hopefully will draw the target audience in and  make students want to buy the magazine and read about whats happening in school.

Here is my rough layout of my magazine.

    Lesson.

In class we learnt how to take photographs on the camera with a variety of different shots such as,

    Big close up
    Extreme close up
    Tilted frame
    Two shot
    Medium close up
    Very long shot
    Low angle
    Medium close up
    Close up
    High angle

We then in groups went out with the camera and were given a list of different shots to take such as, a photograph showing connotations of stress or friendship, or an over the shoulder shot of someone writing or using a phone and so on.

Here are some of the pictures my group took.
